A tough-tackling midfielder who wasn’t afraid to make his presence felt, Billy Manuel made a short trip down the A1 when joining on loan in 1994. He came from Peterborough United at the time; the player – who could also play at left back – becoming a fans favourite there. We didn’t get much game time from him, though; Manuel appearing only three times for us during his stay. He left Posh in 1995 for Cambridge United, only to return to Posh again.
