Here’s your latest statpack; the latest stats, numbers, and milestones fresh off the press after the latest Stevenage game day. We used to do this on Twitter or X or whatever it’s called now. And we’d syndicate it across Bluesky too. But we thought “meh, let’s drive some more people to the site”. That’s the hope and, well, we like to think there’s usually something for everyone once the dust has settled on the latest Boro’ escapade.

Statpack: Stockport County 2-0 Stevenage – 13 May 2026

3️⃣
It’s a third defeat in five visits to Edgeley Park for Boro’ – though we don’t really have much more to add on that front. If you’re fussed about our overall head-to-head record now, this was our fourth defeat in 11; counter balanced by the six wins we’ve already amassed.

‘Tis the small wins.

We should’ve known we’d be in for a rough night when Josh Smith was named referee. It is now four straight defeats on his watch and we’ve been nilled in the last three of them. Our one win when he’s been in charge was a Leasing.com Trophy victory over Wycombe back in October 2019. As if that counts.

3️⃣ / 6️⃣
Our playoff form is rather dreadful since beating Torquay United at Old Trafford. We’ve now lost the last three playoff ties to involve us. And we’re winless in six.

3️⃣
It’s the first time Boro’ have ever lost a two-legged playoff encounter by three goals. Before that, our previous worst defeat was 4-2 over two legs against Southend United in 2014-15.

5️⃣0️⃣
Harvey White‘s sub appearance means he becomes the first and only Boro’ player to make a half-century of appearances this season.

5️⃣0️⃣
Meanwhile, Saxon Earley brings up his 50 in a Boro’ shirt; starting 37 times and coming on as a substitute on 13 occasions.

2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
Carl Piergianni is the big milestone-maker of the evening, however. The skipper brought up his double century of Boro’ outings (194 + 6); becoming just the 19th player in our history to reach that mark. Jordan Roberts is one away from being the 20th too, FYI…

1️⃣0️⃣
We missed it recently, sorry. These playoffs saw Jamie Reid (245 appearances) overtake Noel Blackwell (243) to enter our top 10 appearance-makers of all time.
