During his time with us, Alex Welsh enjoyed a high level of popularity and success between the sticks for the club – despite only playing 10 games for Boro’. Eight of those were clean sheets, and he did not concede his first goal until his fifth game!
Andy Hudson was a local lad who learned his trade at Broadhall Way for a number of seasons in the reserve team. The defender did eventually make the step up to the Boro’ first team in March 1987, but found chances at a premium during his time with the club.
