Mark McKee arrived at Stevenage Football Club in summer 2015. The young forward - like Ben Kennedy and Dale Gorman before him - joined the club from his native Northern Ireland. He was signed for an undisclosed fee from Cliftonville.

It took him just one year to earn a professional deal at the Lamex. The forward impressed during a number of pre-season friendlies prior to the 2016-7 League Two campaign - stepping up from Boro's youth team. And McKee has also turned out for his country at U19 level.

After coming through the ranks at Boro', he started to impress in a central midfield role and was tipped for a big future. A long spell out of the side, however, during the 2018-9 season halted that rise. And, despite a few cameos towards the back end of the campaign, he was allowed to leave at the end of his contract.
