Hart Warming

By BoroGuide

Snow FootballNow the temperature has done a Luton Town and fallen into a place where it is struggling to rise, it is comforting to see that Boro’ are back to warming the cockles. Even if the hosts on Saturday can feel perhaps aggrieved that they didn’t find the back of the net, that’s not our problem and the fact that we did means it’s a very welcome three points with which to hurtle towards Christmas with.

There are some who have expressed concern that our performance levels have not been a huge comfort, but it’s been good enough to get us to within three points of the League One summit. We continue to more than just cling onto our place in the upper echelons of the division. And also consider that we’ve usually had an iffy time of things in November.

But let us not get carried away (because we accept that we’re in danger of doing so!). We’ve just beaten a side bottom of the league, for all their opportunities. And the next match puts us up against a decent Crawley Town side, before we travel to Brentford – albeit a day after the Mayans reckon the world will end. So if we lose to Crawley, perhaps “it’s not the end of the world” won’t be choice words.

Anyway, before then, we’ll have the latest special ALOOT coming your way tomorrow and the Crawley preview by the end of the week (and we promise on that latter note)…
