The score might give one impression of tonight’s game, but the actual game wasn’t necessarily so clear cut. The best team, however, won at the Lamex.
What happened? Well, an initial thought that occurred to us after about 75 minutes is that Southampton invited us to press a high line throughout the first half and then waited until we tired in the second half. Mind you, their second goal and the circumstances in which it came about was a killer blow at the time.
