Midfielder Tony Ward joined Stevenage Borough at the start of the 1990/1 season - another one of the few players recruited from Hertfordshire rivals Hertford Town. The player will certainly be remembered by supporters from that particular era, having lost an arm in a motorcycle accident.
The hard-working and determined player never gave anything less than 100 per cent for the Broadhall Way club.
