Boro' Debut: vs Welling United (A), 27/09/1994

Commonly known as Peter during his time here, Efe signed for Boro following trials at Wimbledon and Luton Town. Initially blooded in the reserve team until his international clearance came through.

Sodje left Stevenage for Macclesfield in 1997 after the Silkmen gained promotion to the Football League somewhat at the expense of Boro', and provided the defender with the opportunity to play at a higher level. It was to prove to be a chance that Sodje was prepared to take.

The defender currently has 10 Nigerian caps to his name, having been in their squad for the 2000 African Cup of Nations and the 2002 World Cup.

Well known at Boro' for his powerful headers and running the length of the pitch with the ball only to lose it, get back to defence, win the ball back and set up another attack.
