Debut: vs Kettering Town (H), 23/01/2010
In a bid to further strengthen Stevenage Borough's promotion prospects during the second half of the 2009/10 season, manager Graham Westley pulled off a major transfer surprise in the January transfer window, with the capture of prolific striker Tim Sills on an 18-month deal from League 2 outfit Torquay United.
The signature bolstered a front line that hadn't exactly been short of goals during the first half of the season, but would provide an exciting new dynamic given Sills' proven track record, particularly at Conference level.
Although Sills hasn't been blessed with goals at every stop on his career, his spells at Aldershot Town and at Torquay United were particuarly notable and it was with his help that both teams reached the final of the Conference playoffs during his time at each club.
Sills also recorded more than a goal every two games while at Kingstonian after signing permanently for the club in 2002. It is this goalscoring pedigree that made Boro' snap him up - somewhat surprisingly - from Torquay United.
Apparently surplus to requirements, Sills moved on to Rushden and Diamonds in 2010 for a loan spell. In January 2011, Boro' decided to cancel his contract, which paved the way for the striker to make his return to Aldershot Town.
