Attacking midfielder Vincenti was one of many names to join Boro' in the January transfer window 2008. He was allowed to move to Broadhall Way on a free transfer after Millwall decided to no longer retain his services. But the player came to Boro' with definite potential to succeed in the heart of the midfield, driving on to support the men up front.
Vincenti made a number of appearances in the Boro' midfield during the 2007/8 run-in, scoring once, but was transfer-listed when Graham Westley was reappointed manager in May 2008. Yet the player established himself as a firm fans' favourite with a series of big-hearted displays to convince Westley that he was a man worth keeping about the place.
A wonder strike against Woking and a goal with his first touch as substitute against Lewes established his status as a dynamic performer off the bench and up front, while he will be forever associated with the honour of notching Boro's first ever goal in the Football League.
But first team opportunities remained at a premium and Vincenti was offered a fresh start on loan at Mansfield Town; an arrangement made with a view to a permanent switch. That switch to Field Mill never materialised, but Vincenti was permitted to join Aldershot Town in January 2011 on a free transfer.
