BORO' CAREER:
|
Debut: vs Tamworth (A), 28/01/2006
Signed for &15,000 just before the end of the January 2006 transfer window closed, Stevenage Borough managed to land defender Luke Oliver from Yeovil Town, who were going through a period of selling off players.
Impressive during his stint at Woking both prior to his move to Yeovil, and again after being loaned back, Boro' were not disappointed with their investment in the second half of the 2005/6 season as Oliver put in many impressive performances.
In both the 2006/7 and 2007/8 seasons, Oliver found himself at times on the fringes of the first team squad under Mark Stimson. He was sent out on loan to keep first team fitness levels up, but Peter Taylor restored him at the centre of defence on a number of occasions in the 2008 run-in.
Retained for the 2008/9 season, Oliver was allowed to join Taylor at Wycombe Wanderers in the January 2009 transfer window.
