Young full-back Eddie Anaclet made the switch from Oxford United to Stevenage Borough during the 2008 close season after a couple of seasons at the Kassam Stadium, playing for a club he had originally started out with as a schoolboy.

Anaclet was out of contract with Oxford United and decided that Broadhall Way was the best place to move his career forward in what he said was a tough decision to make. Boro' had been lacking a dynamic right-back following the departure of Barry Fuller in January 2008, but Anaclet never really pushed his case for inclusion in the Boro' line-up and fell out of favour.

Coupled with injury, first-team opportunities were few and far between over the course of the 2008/9 campaign. A change of name - to adopt his father's surname - signalled a change of fortunes for the player at Broadhall Way, but regular football remained elusive as Boro's backline remained remarkably consistent as Boro' wrapped up the Blue Square Premier title.

In 2010, the player was permitted to leave the club to re-ignite his career elsewhere. He joined Newport County and spent a season in South Wales before moving onto Gateshead in 2011.

Stats do not include expunged Chester City fixtures in 2009/10.
