Full Name: Eric Obinna Chukwunyelu
After the departure of Anthony Elding, and the arrival of Jefferson Louis, no-one at Boro' quite expected to see another striker join in January 2006, but Graham Westley managed to secure the services of Eric Obinna from Championship side Reading.
Originally from Nigeria, the striker was of sufficient quality for Arsenal to make a move for him in 1998. However, the player has found it seemingly difficult to find his feet at a club since, and with just one start in his brief spell at Broadhall Way, Boro' decided against renewing Obinna's contract.
