Boro' Debut: vs Dagenham & Redbridge (A), 14/08/2004

Jon Nurse arrived at Broadhall Way in the summer of 2004 alongside Craig McAllister, after the pair had racked up nearly 60 goals between them in the Ryman Premier during the 2003/4 season. Breaking into the Stevenage Borough first team initially proved to be a tough task for the young former Sutton striker, yet only three players started more games than Nurse during the 2005/6 season. The striker has been used both up front in his preferred role as a striker, but also as a winger, using his electric pace and opportunistic streak to torment many defences.

Having established himself as a key player for Stevenage Borough, and a firm fans' favourite, Nurse left Broadhall Way after three years at the club, notching up combined starts and sub appearances over 100. Upon leaving Boro', Nurse made a well-deserved step-up to Football League football with Dagenham & Redbridge in 2007.
