Nabbed by Rushden and Diamonds in August 2004, Martyn Margarson joined the club as a highly rated young goalkeeper who had impressed in trials at county level. After working his way up to reserve level, he went out on loan for a couple of stints to build up first team experience.
His time at Nene Park, however, was brought to an end in 2008 with a switch to Boston United, before spells at Radcliffe Borough and Louth. Margarson was included in Stevenage's matchday squad for the npower League Two clash at Northampton in April 2011.
