A triallist who made a sufficient impression on manager Mark Stimson to earn a two year contract, Hector Mackie arrived at Broadhall Way as a promising eighteen year old striker who had trialled at Tottenham, West Brom and Reading previously.
Without making an appearance for the first team, however, Mackie was released in 2007. Manager Mark Stimson had obviously deemed that Mackie was not making sufficient enough progress that would see him establish himself in the Boro' midfield.
After a loan stint at Cheshunt, he moved via St. Albans City to Potters Bar Town.
