Boro' Debut: vs Hereford United (A), 22/02/2003

Despite a spell of poor form at the start of the 2004/5 season, Dino Maamria arguably ended the season as the hero of Stevenage Borough. It was his two goals over two legs against Hereford United that catapulted Boro' to the playoff final at Stoke, and it seems as if the Tunisian striker has a habit of scoring the most important goals. He netted a brace against Exeter City when Boro' trailed 2-1 to win the game 3-2, and then a week later netted another brace as Boro' came from two behind to draw with Forest Green.

The 2005/6 season didn't start too well for Maamria, with three red cards leading to calls for his departure on account of a lack of discipline. However, he bounced back to perform consistently well in the centre of midfield, a position that seems to have been adopted permanently by the striker. However, somewhat out of the blue, Maamria was released in the summer of 2006 after nearly a century of starts to his name, only to return in the 2008/9 campaign in a coaching capacity following a spell as manager of Northwich Victoria.
