Stuart Lewis joined Stevenage Borough in the Spring 2007 after a spell at Barnet. Having originally started out at Tottenham Hotspur, the tenacious young midfielder brought passion and determination to the Boro' midfield and established himself as a crowd favourite with combative displays.
Having enjoyed a place at the heart of Boro's team in the 2007/8 season, former manager Mark Stimson came knocking in the January transfer window having already made it quite clear in the media of his intentions to sign the player for Gillingham.
The departure of Stimson from the Gills in 2010 brought to an end Lewis' own career at Priestfied, with the midfielder moving to League One newcomers Dagenham & Redbridge before a switch to Wycombe Wanderers followed.
