Debut: vs Lincoln City (A), 25/09/2010
A former adversary of Stevenage during his time at Cambridge United, Chris Holroyd was snapped up on a loan deal from League One side Brighton and Hove Albion in autumn 2010 as a means of bringing goals to a Boro' attack.
If Stevenage's goalscoring record during the early stages of the club's first Football League campaign, Holroyd's introduction proved inspired. A goal on debut against Lincoln City was followed up by a hattrick at Hereford United, firmly establishing his goalscoring capabilities at League Two level.
While his goals helped Boro' find an extra gear, the free-scoring ability was also noted by his parent club. By the end of December 2010, Holroyd was back on the South Coast.
