One of Stevenage Borough's longest serving players, Jason Goodliffe was at Broadhall Way for six years and his importance within the squad appears was always unflappable. Often to be seen leading by example, Goodliffe had overcome serious injury and the arrival of various new players in his career at Stevenage Borough.

Many Boro' fans will argue that there is still plenty left in Goodliffe's locker over the next couple of seasons but it reached a stage where Goodliffe was finding it increasingly hard to break into the Boro' first team.

After a loan stint at York City, Boro' agreed to release the defender from his contract so he could pursue first team action elsewhere. Following his stay at Broadhall Way, Goodliffe helped AFC Wimbledon rise up the pyramid and landed a managerial position at Boreham Wood.
