BORO' CAREER:
|
Debut: vs Chester City (H), 09/08/2003
Flynn was the third of a trio signed in May 2003, with the close season only three weeks old. But it signalled Graham Westley's intent, as the Boro' manager aimed to further refine his squad having salvaged Conference security as a priority when he took over.
The left-back joined Boro' on a free from Hertfordshire rivals, Barnet, with a primary role to cover the void left by the departing Stuart Fraser. It was hoped that the Conference experience Flynn picked up whilst at Underhill would prove to be a useful asset as he went head to head with Justin Gregory to fill the left-back spot in the Boro' line-up.
But Flynn was to lose out and found his opportunities at Broadhall Way stifled. With a quarter of a century's worth of appearances behind him, Flynn was allowed to move on after being deemed surplus to requirements.
