Gambia-born defender Hasim Deen joined Stevenage Borough from Margate - then managed by ex-Boro' stalwart Robin Trott - in 2006 after he attracted the attention of manager Mark Stimson.
Although his Boro' career was not lengthy or particularly noteworthy (apart from a red card at Oxford United), international plaudits at U17 and U21 level underlined his potential.
