Danny Carroll was yet another one of the players that made from the switch from Farnborough to Stevenage to join up with Graham Westley, and arguably made the biggest impact of the lot. The central midfielder finished the season with a number of goals to his name, with the midfield goalscorer attribute proving a valuable commodity.

The injury to Sam McMahon meant that there was a new partner in the centre of midfield for Carroll in the 2003/4 season, but Carroll was often handed an integral role for Boro' before gradually falling out of favour with the arrivals of players in the ilk of Dannie Bulman, Michael Brough et al. After Boro', it was down the pyramid for the midfielder with a switch to Carshalton Athletic.
