A goalkeeper who was drafted in on loan from Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the 2004/5 season, with Stevenage Borough suffering something of a minor crisis in that department during the early stages of the season.
Despite eventually leaving White Hart Lane due to a lack of first team opportunities - a few unused sub appearances apart - Burch made his move into the Football League.
Since leaving Broadhall Way, Burch has gone onto play for Bristol City, Barnet and Sheffield Wednesday, before setting up base at Lincoln City. A player with evident talent, the Football League was always the minimum standard of football that Burch deserved to compete at.
