Boro' Debut: vs Aldershot (A), 16/12/2003

Former Woking and Chester City midfielder Jon Brady was snapped up during December 2003, on an 18-month contract having been made available by his new employers Arsenal to train and play at Broadhall Way. Brady left Chester days prior to Boro's visit to the Deva Stadium to join Arsenal's coaching staff, yet was confirmed by Graham Westley as a Boro' player less than a week later.

The midfielder brought an extra dimension to Boro's wing play and used his wide Conference knowledge to help Boro' push towards the promotion places during the 2004/5 season. Certainly, it was Brady's cross to Dino Maamria against Hereford at Broadhall Way that kick-started the club's progression to the playoff final in 2005. Yet, it was soon to become the case that Brady's services were no longer deemed what was necessary to help Boro' avenge their heartbreak going into 2006.
