Defender Damien Batt joined Stevenage Borough in the January 2007 transfer window from Hertfordshire rivals, St. Albans City. The full-back had previously enjoyed stints at Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge after originally starting out at Norwich City. Batt was on a non-contract basis at Clarence Park before manager Mark Stimson moved to capture the player.
After spending some time on loan at Woking, Stevenage decided not to retain Batt for the 2008/9 season. The player moved down the leagues to sign for Fisher Athletic before returning to the Blue Square Premier with Grays Athletic and then Oxford United.
