A highly-experienced defender, racking up over 400 appearances for Peterborough United in the Football League, Mark Arber joined Stevenage Borough during the summer of 2007 to add extra steel to the Boro' back-line. With his wealth of know-how, Arber quickly became an integral part of the team and took on the role of penalty-taker while at the club.

Despite finding himself as a key part of the Boro' defence during the first half of the 2007/8 season, the arrival of Peter Taylor towards the end of 2007 subsequently saw Arber loaned out to Dagenham & Redbridge before a permanent deal was concluded in 2008 to allow the defender to move to East London.
