Chuks Aneke became the second Arsenal youngster to join Stevenage on a loan basis in November 2011, following the capture of Luke Freeman. Aneke came to the Boro' on an initial two-month basis and, like Freeman, caught the attention of manager Graham Westley by scoring the decisive goal for the Gunners' XI in a pre-season game at the Lamex Stadium.
Aneke certainly came well-regarded. The attacking midfielder first joined the Arsenal ranks at the age of seven, and turned pro at the Emirates Stadium in 2010. In addition to one first team outing for the Gunners at the time of moving to Hertfordshire - a Carling Cup match against Shrewsbury Town in 2011, Aneke has represented England in four age groups.
