BORO' CAREER:
|
Debut: vs Stafford Rangers (H), 10/09/2007
After a series of impressive pre-season trial appearances in 2007, including a goal against Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur, Ollie Allen was secured on a permanent deal by manager Mark Stimson. The young forward comes from a family rich in footballing talent, most notably with his father being the Spurs legend Clive Allen. With such potential, Boro' fans had high hopes that the club's strikeforce will benefit from Allen's eye for goal and technical ability.
Injury, however, curtailed his progress during the 2007/8 campaign and after getting very few chances to shine, Allen made the unfortunate decision to retire from the game on account of his injury troubles. However, he later appeared at Crawley Town before moving onto two other clubs in a bid to revitalise his career in football.
