Coming By Car? York is a relatively straight forward place to reach by car from Stevenage, and one would basically follow the same directions as if they were driving to Scarborough. Take a trip up the A1, and then head for York on the A64. Once you reach the city, roughly ten miles after leaving the A1, turn onto the A1237 as if heading for Harrogate. Continue along the A1237 until you reach the junction with the A19. Turn right onto the A19 Shipton Road, and head for the city centre. When you reach the Burton Stone pub after about 2 miles, turn left and you'll soon see the ground. Tools: AA Route Planner | Highways Agency |
