Image: Bootham Crescent, or to give it the corporate name, the KitKat Stadium, had humble beginnings as a cricket ground before York City FC made it their home residence in 1932, giving it a rich sense of history - having seen the highs and lows of the Minstermen's fortunes over the last half century.

The ground itself is a compact little affair, holding just under 10,000 having been reduced from just over 12,000 in 1994. Away fans get the open terrace behind the goal, so if it's raining when Boro' come to town, then the visit will require an umbrella.

At the time of writing, a new ground is being proposed that will house both the Minstermen and the local rugby league club.
