Who Are... Wolverton Town FC?
Reformed in 2004, the current Wolverton Town FC have brought football back to the town after the curtain was brought down on the previous incarnation in 1992. Before the former Wolverton Town went under, it went through a couple of name changes and at one point adopted a Milton Keynes moniker before dropping everything but the Wolverton name. The club's most successful period came towards the mid-to-late 1980s, with its best showing in the FA Cup and an ascent into Isthmian League Division One. However, that was as good as it got and the new club will be hoping for more success.
