If you've ever visited Kingfield, you'll probably be quite willing to admit that the ground is a strange one to say the least. Behind one of the goals, you have one of the most majestic stands in the Conference, dare one say the lower Football League.
But behind the other goal is what can be described as a tin shed, offering a complete contrast within the ground. It is perhaps a demonstration of how the ambition of the club fell during the late nineties as to why the ground is as it is. While they rode high in the Conference, it seemed only a matter of time before Woking would finally obtain the elusive top spot in the league and gain promotion.
However, the relegation battles they have faced in recent seasons resulted in those League aspirations being put on hold. But the cynic would argue that it's simply due to Surrey madness... no-one knows!
