HISTORY

Formed in 1947, Witham Town dropped out of the Isthmian League in 2008/9 and into the Essex Senior League for the first time since 1987. During their 22-year stay in the Isthmian League, the club spent most of its time around the lower end - a second place finish in the 2005/6 Division Two North season being the pinnacle of Town's achievement before its recent relegation.

The club has previously won the Essex Senior League on two occasions prior to their promotion to the Isthmian League in 1987.
