Now that Boro' has completed the set, Ware has competed against all three Stevenage football teams over the years but have encountered a degree of disparity with the current arrangements. For Ware, the 2008/9 season was a turbulent campaign as the club sought to build on a decent season in 2007/8.

Chasing hard for promotion to the Ryman League Premier Division for the first time in the Blues' history, everything was going to plan until manager Glen Alzapiedi left for Harlow Town along with several first teamers.

In a situation that arguably mirrors Stevenage Borough and Farnborough in 2003, Harlow's failure to stay in the Premier Division means that they were thrown up against Ware during the 2009/10 - a pairing that no doubt generated some interesting feelings.
