Despite the protestations of Arsenal supporters, Tottenham Hotspur remain one of the larger clubs in English football and have a string of trophies to prove that. Admittedly, Spurs would have preferred to have won a few more in recent years rather than being limited to League Cup successes in 1999 and 2008, but few teams have won more FA Cups.

The club will forever be the first of the 20th century to do the League and Cup double and come with a reputation for demanding aesthetically-pleasing football, some of the world's greatest players have played for Tottenham Hotspur, although the club now lives in the shadow of their North London rivals.

It is difficult to break the top four cartel in the Premier League, but Spurs pipped Liverpool to the Champions League in 2010 and returned to Europe's top table. However, the club is now looking to break free from the constraints of its historic White Hart Lane ground to fuel further growth.
