St Neots Town seems to have existed for an absolute eternity as a football club, having originally formed way back in 1879. However, it hasn't been a totally smooth existence, after the club was forced to disband in 1987 when their ground was sold for housing. But the reformation in 1989 heralded a new era, and the Saints moved to its current ground in 1992.
In recent years, the club took on some national interest with the appointment of former Northern Ireland international Steve Lomas as player/manager. And yet it was Dennis Greene in charge when the club won the United Counties League Premier Division in 2011 and secured promotion to the Southern League for the first time in its history.
