Image: BoroGuide The Lamex Stadium has certainly come of age since being the reason for denying Boro' promotion in 1996. Away supporters are now treated to a marvellous view from the 1,400-capacity South Stand behind one of the goals, with extra seating available should the need arise (and the police decide).

The infrastructure that Stevenage currently boast is an impressive one, and the current management are clearly building for a prosperous future off the pitch as well as on it. As the Hertfordshire club continues to progress, one can expect the Lamex Stadium to develop in kind.

Opposition fans have, in the past, been made welcome in the Broadhall Suite, the Stevenage club bar before and after kick-off at the corner of the Buildbase Stand and East Terrace. Unfortunately, on busy matchdays, access may be limited to home fans.

Other nearby venues include Our Mutual Friend in the residential area near the Broadwater Esso garage, and The Forge, which has a restaurant down the road from the away stand near Tesco heading out towards Knebworth. A bit further along is the smaller but cosier Roebuck Inn.
