HISTORY

After battling their way through the Herts County League for nearly two decades, Royston Town made the jump to the South Midlands League in 1977 and immediately gained promotion to the Premier Division. The club joined the Isthmian League in 1984 but left again ten years later for the confines of the South Midlands League yet again.

In 1997, Royston Town helped form the inaugural Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division North but were relegated after a decade to compete in Division One. However, two years later in 2009, the club were promoted back to the Premier Division.
