Nestled on the Kent riviera vying for bragging rights in the Thanet derby against rivals Margate, Ramsgate - in their current guise - are widely accepted to date back to the end of the Second World War upon filling a football vacuum in the town.
After 14 years in the Kent League, Ramsgate moved into the Southern League in 1959 - a further 13 years later, the club dropped its Athletic suffix. Having returned to the Kent League in 1976, the club went onto lift two titles before the second earned promotion to the Isthmian League in 2005.
