Who Are... Newcastle United FC?
Arguably one of the biggest clubs in English football, fans of other clubs up and down the land have yet to stop laughing at the club's relegation from the Premier League in 2009 after a 16 year spell that twice saw the Geordies come a close second to Manchester United in the title race. The wait for a major trophy also continues, with nothing to show for their efforts for half a century, and the managerial and boardroom uncertainty facing the club in 2009 made it seem highly unlikely that it would change any time soon.

Tasked with regaining their Premier League status, the Magpies will not find it easy to secure promotion from the Coca-Cola Championship. There will be little sympathy in Stevenage ranks, however, because those who remember will consider it karma for the rather dubious way in which Newcastle United advanced past Boro' in the 1997/8 FA Cup fourth round replay. Crossed the line? Yeah, right...
