HISTORY

The Leatherhead FC in its current guise was the result of a 1946 merger between the town's Rose and United teams. After success in the Surrey County League, the club was a founder member of the Delphian League in 1951.

After progressing through the Corinthian and Athenian Leagues, the Tanners joined the Isthmian League in 1977 and plyed their trade there since. In addition to their league campaigns, the club famously reached the 4th Round of the FA Cup in 1974/5 before losing to Leicester City 3-2.

Leatherhead were also runners-up in the 1977/8 FA Trophy final.
