In what was a pulsating final at Wembley in May 2007, it is well documented that Kidderminster Harriers had to be the losers when Stevenage won the FA Trophy. Both sides shared the spoils in the league campaign, with each side winning 2-1 away from home, and in truth there wasn't a whole lot between the sides in the end save the seven points in the final 2006/7 table.

A fairly uninspiring 2007/8 season saw the Harriers pottered along to be a comfortable mid-table finish. The progress that the Worcestershire club had made the season before wasn't capitalised upon and there was no real danger of the Harriers gatecrashing the promotion push at any stage over the course of the campaign. Interestingly, the club scored just one less goal than they managed in their title-winning season.

The 2008/9 campaign was a hard-fought but ultimately frustrating campaign for the Worcestershire side, missing out on the playoffs by a mere couple of points on the final day of the season. Having engaged in a ding-dong battle with Stevenage and Oxford for the final berth in the top five, it just wasn't to be... and the 2009/10 campaign offered no consolation as the Harriers finished adrift and had to endure Boro' winning at Aggborough to wrap up the title.
