HISTORY

Not to be confused with local rivals Horsham YMCA, Horsham FC will complicate matters in the 2009/10 season by sharing the home of their YMCA counterparts having sold their Queen Street ground to property developers in 2007 and sharing with Worthing FC for one season (although it was supposed to be two).

The club was left having to plot its ascent through the Ryman Premier League on the turf of neighbours Horsham YMCA after leaving Worthing. An appeal against the decision to refuse planning permission for a new ground was withdrawn by the club in 2009.

The Hornets nearly caused a shock in 2008/9 when they were nine minutes away from dumping Stevenage out of the FA Cup at Broadhall Way. However, Boro' won out in the replay, leaving Horsham unable to replicate a run they experienced the previous year by taking Swansea City to a replay at the Liberty Stadium.
