HISTORY

One of Boro's Hertfordshire neighbours, Hemel Hempstead Town were denied in their bid to secure promotion from the Southern League Premier Division in a playoff defeat to Team Bath after breaking into the top five without much space to spare in 2007. It ultimately means that the club needs to regroup and go again, but with a place in Blue Square South up for grabs, it was an enticing prospect for Hemel to chase down.
