Formed in 2007 when Hayes and Yeading United merged to ensure sustainable football in the local community, the club had a relatively good start in life by assuming Hayes' position in the Blue Square South. That said, Yeading too were in the Blue Square South at the time, and by pooling their resources to secure the future of lower league football in west London, the club arrived in the Blue Square Premier to really test itself in 2009.

With plenty of history behind both sides of the Hayes and Yeading tree, there is experience coarsing throughout the club and it should stand the club in good stead that Hayes spent six years in the Conference between 1996 and 2002. Yeading have enjoyed slightly lesser success along their travels, but both came together to form a plucky underdog that fancied its chances of making a name for itself in the top flight of non-league football.

The reality of the situation they found themselves in was incredibly stark. Hayes and Yeading pitted their wits against the likes of Oxford, Luton and Cambridge - three teams that are capable of upsetting the odds in the Football League, let alone the Blue Square Premier. But such was the good job done by all concerned, the club was able to finish away from the relegation skirmish 2009/10 to give something for the club to build on.
