HISTORY

Formed in 1998, Havant and Waterlooville have performed strongly in recent seasons and had their most memorable hour during the 2007/8 season. Having battled through the FA Cup to the fourth round stage, the club was rewarded with a trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool.

Despite leading TWICE, the Hawks eventually cracked to the Premier League outfit and lost by 5-2; a result that by no means suggests a straight-forward case of affairs. Back in the league, efforts to secure promotion to the Conference was boosted a sixth place finish in 2010, to offer much encouragement.
