HISTORY

The chequered history of Harlow Town carved out another chapter during the 2008/9 campaign after Ware manager Glen Alzapiedi was hired and recruited a number of players from his former club in order to preserve the Essex club's status as a Ryman Premier League side. Fate perhaps intervened as Harlow lost the battle and were relegated... into the same league as Ware, to promise some interesting times ahead during the 2009/10 campaign.

But the club has also faced the threat of closure after HM Revenue and Customs issued a winding up petition against the club. It is the second time the club has faced an uncertain future, having been suspended from all football during the 1992/3 campaign due to administration and money owed to the FA. It led to demotion to the lowest rung of the Isthmian League ladder.
