Coming By Car? It won't surprise you that Gateshead is one of the longest trips undertaken, and those who drive will have to be willing to become well-acquainted with the A1. It's almost all you're going to see - it will be A1/A1(M) all the way north until you reach the A194 junction just north of Washington Services From here, follow the A194 to its junction with the A184 and turn left. Where To Park? The stadium, being an international sports venue, boasts a modest car park that can accommodate both coaches and cars, and shouldn't be too perturbed by the anticipated number of supporters on a matchday. |

Coming By Train? Station: GATESHEAD STADIUM Served by: METRO Services to: NEWCASTLE (for STEVENAGE, LONDON KINGS CROSS) Gateshead Stadium Metro station isn't too far from the stadium, but it isn't exactly close. From the station, turn right along St James' Road and pass some trees to your right for about 20 metres. Immediately on your right will be a path and cycleway running straight up through a housing estate identified by random circles spaced evenly along the way.
