HISTORY

Ford Sports (Daventry) are now known as Daventry United, a club that has gained promotion to the United Counties League Premier Division in 1996 but returned to Division One in 2007. In 2009, the club made its return to the top rung of the UCL ladder and will now be hoping to push on and perhaps overhaul Daventry Town, their local rivals.

Having failed to go up after winning the Premier Division title in 2002, there may well be every confidence that progress will be forthcoming after the club's 2007 name change - time will tell.
